Iphoto sort manually greyed out

 · In response to Paul Reading2. That is the wrong answer. If you look at the album "All photos" Keep sorted by date added" is checked and greyed out. No the answer was not wrong. The fact is that being able to sort other than Date Added in the All Photos window is not possible. That feature was left out of Photos.  · The solution is very similar. 1 To set that option in Photos, go to Preferences General, and uncheck Copy Items to the Photos Library. I should have consolidated in Aperture before the migration.  · I am unable to sort my photos manually. The manual label is greyed out. the reset manual sort is greyed out. You can’t manually sort pictures in Events. They have to be sorted by time, title, keyword or rating. But you definitely can sort your albums. Just go to the album and make sure manual sort is on (View, Sort Photos). Then you can drag them around to change their order. I am unable to sort my photos manually.
